自古以來，人們舞蹈，手舞足蹈出人生中的喜、怒、哀、樂， 舞蹈不可或缺的另一半便是盡興的音樂。 而生命中所有的盛事，都應用盛大的派對劃上一個完美的句點。 藝起舞動邀請TPO大樂團以及專業的舞者們，演奏經典搖擺爵士，結合搖擺舞， 帶人們重返1920年代的搖擺年華，用揮灑的汗水與熱情的節奏，慶祝生命美好的禮讚。

<p>TPO是亞洲首屈一指的爵士大樂隊之一，從艱鉅疫情中崛起、用音樂面對困境。</p><p>指揮Jim Geddes是一位來自美國中西部的木管演奏家，擁有數十年的大樂隊和百老匯經驗、</p><p>帶領TPO迅速在台灣和海外獲得認可，並於台灣的爵士音樂節和2021年歐克萊爾爵士音樂節上演出，同時錄製唱片，2023年推出第二張專輯。</p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(5, 5, 5);">TPO is one of Asia’s premier jazz big bands, emerging out of the Covid-19 pandemic that left Taiwanese and international musicians suddenly stranded, as it were, but with lots of music to share. </span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(5, 5, 5);">Director Jim Geddes, a woodwinds player from the US Midwest with decades of big band and Broadway experience, put together a band that has quickly gained recognition in Taiwan and abroad performing in jazz festivals in Taiwan and in the 2021 Eau Claire Jazz Festival and will record its second album in 2023.</span></p>

<p>台北美國學校成立於1949年中山北路長老教會的地下室，當時有8名學生。</p><p>隔年，它成為美國政府國防部合約學校、隨後轉變為私立學校。</p><p>台北美國學校保持著模範學術機構、為學生各式興趣領域提供支持。</p><p>TAS 的爵士音樂課程已存在多年，總監 Luke DallaGrana 為學生的生涯發展和音樂水準帶來良好的標準，使該課程成為台灣的先驅。</p><p><br></p><p>Taipei American School was founded in 1949 on Zhongshan North Road in the basement of a Presbyterian Church with 8 students. The very next year it became a U.S. government Department of Defense contract school and maintained that status for the next 20 years, when it thereafter became a private school.</p><p>It has maintained its status as an exemplary academic institution that supports students with a variety of interest areas. The jazz music program at TAS has been in existence for many years, with director Luke DallaGrana bringing a standard for students’ personal development and music integrity that makes the program a leader in Taiwan.</p>

<p>在台北有一群熱愛爵士樂的舞者，</p><p>他們熱衷於一種可以跟著爵士樂跳舞的社交舞蹈Swing Dance。</p><p>這種舞蹈起源於非裔美國人的文化，1920年代左右風靡美國，</p><p>到現在全世界都有舞者在跳 Swing Dance！</p><p>Swing Dance 可以是自己一個人跳，也可以跟身邊的人一起跳，它象徵著自由與合作！</p><p><br></p>

他們熱衷於一種可以跟著爵士樂跳舞的社交舞蹈Swing Dance。
